MediStock stores all data exclusively on your device. No personal data is transferred to servers, collected or shared with third parties.

2. Overview of data processing
MediStock is an iOS app for managing medication stock. The app processes the following data:

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)
MediStock can access medication data in Apple Health if you explicitly allow it. The following applies:
- Only medication and dose data is read from Health.
- MediStock does not write any data to Apple Health.
- The data read is processed and stored only locally on your device.
- Health data is never transferred to servers, cloud services or third parties.
- You can revoke the permission at any time in the iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Health → MediStock.
HealthKit data is used in accordance with the Apple HealthKit guidelines. Health data is not used for advertising, data mining or sharing with third parties.
4. Widgets
MediStock offers Home Screen widgets. To display medication data in the widget, it is shared between the app and the widget extension via an App Group (shared storage area). This storage area is located exclusively on your device and is accessible only to MediStock.
5. Push notifications
MediStock can send local push notifications when the stock of a medication falls below the alert threshold. These notifications are created locally on the device and do not require a server. You can turn off notifications in the app settings or in the iOS system settings.
6. Network access
MediStock does not perform any network access on its own. The only exception:
- Package insert search: When you use the package insert feature, a search query is opened in your default browser (Safari). MediStock itself does not send any data – the search takes place entirely in the browser.
7. No tracking or analytics services
MediStock does not use:
- Analytics or tracking tools (no Google Analytics, Firebase or similar)
- Advertising networks
- Third-party crash reporting services
- Cookies or fingerprinting technologies
8. Sharing data with third parties
No personal data is shared with third parties. MediStock does not sell, rent or share any user data.
9. Data storage and deletion
All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete your data at any time:
- In the app: Settings → "Delete All Data"
- By uninstalling: When you delete the app, all stored data is removed automatically.
10. Your rights (GDPR)
Since no personal data is transmitted to me, I do not hold any of your data. All data is located exclusively on your device and is under your control. If you still have questions, you can contact me at any time.
11. Children
MediStock is not directed at children under the age of 17. The app does not knowingly collect any data from children.
12. Changes to this privacy policy
Any material changes to this privacy policy will be published on this page. You can find the date of the last update at the top of this document.
